We are members of the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) meaning we are up to date with what’s happening in the private rented sector and we follow all rules and regulations in accordance to the scheme.
Your Deposit is safe
One of the main fears of a student is just where the deposit is stored. At 1st Class Student Homes we use My Deposits. They are a tried and tested deposit company who we register your deposits with for the entirety of your tenancy. We provide you with all relevant prescribed information and terms and conditions upon protection. Following your tenancy, deposits are released quickly following a successful checkout.
Your safety is paramount to us. We adhere to strict and concise government guidelines and carry out regular safety inspections to ensure all systems are fully operational at all times. As a student landlord we ensure that –
- A valid gas safe certificate is carried out and in place
- A valid electrical certificate is present and in place
- A valid Fire detection system and certificate is in place
- A valid emergency lighting system and certificate is in place (where applicable)
- A valid PAT testing schedule is present and in place
We also ensure that all safety features are in place including
- Fire doors
- Thumb locks to bedroom and exterior doors
- Fire blankets in kitchens
- CO detectors in required areas
- Emergency fire windows
